As a consequence, farms can only be built on oasis grass, leading to rivalry between players for farmland and limited resources. The gameplay is similar to the original Stronghold, the main difference being that the game takes place in the Middle East. Stronghold Warchest adds two more Crusader Trails, one consists of thirty linked missions and the “Extreme Trail” consists of twenty linked missions. The game also features the “Crusader Trail” a series of fifty linked missions against various opponents. Each campaign consists of several battles, for example, Nicea, Heraclea, Siege of Antioch, Krak des Chevaliers and the Siege of Jerusalem. These documents from the First, Second, and Third Crusades, as well as conflicts within the individual Crusader states.
